Foreclosure Intervention & Prevention: A candid discussion with tools and tips to aid those who are going through the foreclosure process or those who are trying to avoid the foreclosure process. Will highlight recently passed state and federal legislation aimed at relieving the distress of struggling homeowners and providing safeguards for them as well

Home Repair Open House: “Repairs Any Homeowner Can Do With Just A Hammer, Nails, Wrench, Pliers, Screw Driver, And A Can Of Paint.” A hands-on workshop including electrical, plumbing, painting, heating/air conditioning, weatherizing and carpentry; expert instruction on performing your own minor home repairs KidPOWER! An interactive workshop offering young people, from the ages of 8 - 12 tools for financial goal setting, budgeting and strategies that will prepare them for a successful financial future. Show Me The Money: Tools For Teens An interactive workshop introducing young people, from the age of 13-18, to the world of savings and credit cards; why and how to save and how and when to use credit cards; the importance of a good credit history.

Living the Dream Award This is a first time home buyers award for those buying properties that they intend to occupy. Entrants must purchase home within nine months of drawing to be eligible. Award recipient will be determined on October 18, 2008.

General Session Credit and Foreclosure Senate Bill 486 specifically addresses foreclosures and requires lenders to send copies of foreclosure notices to the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency in an effort to monitor foreclosures statewide.
